CONSORTIUM OF SYRIAN INDEPENDENT MEDIA

Together for a free and independent Syrian media landscape

The Consortium of Syrian Independent Media (CSIM) was founded in 2025 on a shared conviction that the future of independent Syrian journalism depends on solidarity, integrity, and collective strength. In a landscape fractured by conflict, displacement, and disinformation, independent media cannot endure or have impact in isolation.

What is CSIM?

CSIM seeks to strengthen the sustainability, independence, and collective influence of Syrian independent media. Through principled collaboration, joint advocacy, and shared responsibility, we aim to ensure that independent journalism remains a vital force for truth, accountability, and civic life.
